Following the death of foremost Nigerian actor, Justus Esiri, many celebrities have taken to Twitter and Facebook to pay their last respects.
Velvet-voiced Esiri passed on a few days to the Nigerian premier of his most recent film, The Assassin's Practice, which opens in cinemas on February 22. The movie was directed by Andrew Ukoko.
In the movie, Esiri plays the role of a failed stock investor, Eviano, who hires an assassin (Eve Pearson) to stage his suicide and make it look like a botched robbery so his wife (Kate Henshaw) and daughter (Sarah Akokhia) would live off his life insurance. To his chagrin, he discovers that the Assassin is delusional and will not spare anyone and he must do everything to undo what he started.
Unconfirmed reports say he died in a Lagos hospital after a secret battle with diabetes.
